How to Unroot the Optimus 3D


With the availability of Stock ROMs in KDZ format, you can sily unroot any smartphone using the KDZ Updater. The thing becomes much sier when you’ve a CWM Flashable Stock ROM. The Optimus 3D Stock ROM is available in the CWM ZIP format and you can return to stock in no time. Here’s how you can unroot your Optimus 3D by installing the stock ROM on it.By EditAndroidI. Before You Begin:1. You should have rooted your device using the guide givenhere.2. You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your device. We have a guide onhow to install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Optimus 3D, you should check it out.3. If you’re going to install the Gingerbrd ZIP ROM, you need to follow the guide givenhere.II. Downloading Required Files:1.Stock ROM ZIP(Download link’s given in the first post, make sure to download the ZIP version)2.FastbootIII. Unrooting the Optimus 3D:1. Download both the Stock ROM ZIP and Fastboot files to your Desktop.2. Extract files from the Fastboot archive to your Desktop. You should getadb.exlong with some other files.3. Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable.4. Copy the Stock ROM ZIP file from your Desktop over to the root folder of your device’s SD card.5. After the file has been copied, disconnect the device from your PC.6. Enable USB debugging on your device fromMenu>>Settings>>Appliions>>Development>>USB debugging.7. Connect the device to your PC once again.8. Open a Command Prompt Window on the Desktop of your PC. To do that, press and hold theShiftbutton on your board and right-click on any empty ar on the screen, then chooseOpen command window here.9. Type in the following command into the Command Prompt Window:adb reboot recovery10. Your smartphone should reboot into the ClockworkMod Recovery mode.Note: In the ClockworkMod Recovery Mode, you can use Volume UP and Volume DOWN buttons to navigate, Power button to make a selection.11. When it enters the Recovery mode, chooseinstall zip from sdcard>>choose zip from sdcard.12. Navigate to the folder where you’ve put the Stock ROM ZIP file and select it for flashing using thePowerbutton.13. Since the file is a bit large, it should take some good time to finish.14. As soon as the flashing is done, reboot your device by choosingreboot system nowfrom the Recovery Menu.15. And you’re all done!Wonderful! Your device’s now back to the stock ROM that is not rooted. If you were going to the company shop for any warranty purpose, you can do that now!
