How to Unroot/back to Stock firmware in the Atrix HD


Maybe you’ve screwed up your rooted Atrix HD and it’s not responding as it should? No worries, you can always flash the stock firmware to bring back the device to its out-of-the box state and the most valuable thing you’re getting back is your lost warranty. Like there’re advantages of rooting a device, unrooting has its own advantages. So, if you’re rdy to unroot your Atrix HD and get it back to stock, then hd on to the following guide.BY EditAndroidI. Before You Begin:1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure givenhere.2. Your device needs to have at lst 70% of battery life left.II. Downloading Required Files:1.RSD Lite2.Stock FirmwareIII. Unrooting the Atrix HD:1. Place both the files you downloaded to your Desktop.2. Extract files from theRSD Litrchive to your Desktop.3. Double-click on theRSD Liteexecutable file and it will launch.4. Click on“…”and select theStock Firmwarefile you downloaded to your Desktop.5. Turn OFF your device.6. Reboot the device intoFastbootmode. To do so, press and hold theVolume UP+Volume DOWN+Powerbuttons together.7. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.8. Select theAP Fastbootoption on your device.9. ClickStartbutton in the RSD Lite tool and it will start flashing the firmware.10. Once it’s done, reboot your device.11. And you’re good to go!Grt! Your device is now back to the stock firmware with no root access. You should be glad to know that your warranty has been restored!
