How to Unroot the Wildfire S


Just like any othersmartphone, you can unroot the Wildfire S using the Shipped/Stock ROM that will restore your device back to stock and with the help of Fastboot, you can relock thebootloader. It reinstates the warranty you lost during the root process and allows you to begin modifying your device once again from scratch. So, let’s see how to unroot the WildfireS.By EditAndroidI. Before You Begin:1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure givenhere.2. The following procedure works on based PCs only.II. Downloading Required Files:1.Stock ROM(Download the appropriate RUU for your device from the list)2.FastbootIII. Relocking Bootloader of the Wildfire S:1. Place both the files you downloaded to the Desktop. It will help you find them sily later.2. Unzip files from the Fastboot archive to your Desktop. You will havdb.exndfastboot.exlong with some other files.3. Turn OFF your device.4.Rebootit into the bootloader mode. To do that, press and hold theVolume DOWN+Powerbuttons together and you should be in the bootloader mode.5. SelectFastbootoption from the bootloader menu.6. Connect the device to your PC using theUSBcable.7. Open a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do so, simply press and hold theShift on yourboardand right-click on any empty ar on the screen, then chooseOpen command window here.8. Enter the following command into the Command Prompt Window:fastboot oem lock9. It should relock the bootloader of your device.10. Reboot your device into the bootloader mode by typing in the following command:fastboot reboot11. You’re done with relocking the bootloader !The bootloader has now been relocked and you can use the RUU to get back to stock. Here’s how you can do so.IV. Unrooting the Wildfire S:1. Turn OFF your device so you can enter the bootloader mode.2. While your device is turned OFF, press and hold theVolume DOWN+Powerbuttons together.3. ChooseFastbootmode from the options you have on the screen.4. Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.5. Double-click theStockROM(RUU) file you downloaded.6. Follow the instructions displayed on your screen.7. You’re now unrooted !Awesome! You have successfully relocked the bootloader of your device as well as unrooted the device. It didn’t take much time to get back to stock to enjoy the most stable performance!
