How to Unroot the Thinkpad Tablet


The unrooting process usually removes the SU, Superuser and Busybox tools from your device, then your device becomes unrooted. As soon as these tools are gone from your device, you are no longer able to providesystemfilesaccess. Before You Begin:1. You should have rooted your device using the guide givenhere.2. You must have ADB installed onyourPC. If you don’t have it alrdy, get it fromhere.II. Unrooting the Thinkpad Tablet:1. Enable USBdebuggingon your device by going toMenu>>Settings>>Appliions>>Development>>USB debugging.2. Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.3. Open aCommandPromptWindow in the folder where you have installed ADB. It is the folder wherdb.exefile is loed. To open the CMD window, just press and hold theShift on yourboardand right-click on any empty ar on the screen, then choose theOpen command window hereoption.4. Issue the following command using the Command Prompt Window:adb shell5. You should enter the shell mode. Now, issue the following command:su6. A prompt will appr on your device asking to provide Superuser permission. Allow it.7. Next, enter the following commands into the Command Prompt Window. Make sure topressENTERafter ch line.mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/system /system
rm /system/app/Superuser.apk
rm /system/xbin/su
rm /system/bin/su8. Reboot your device and you’re all done!Your device has successfully been unrooted!
