How to Root/Install CWM Recovery in the T-Mobile G-Slate


T-Mobile G-Slate offers come of the coolest specifiions ever available on an Android device. The said tablet boasts a 8.9″ inch high-quality screen, a 1GHz processor and a 5MP shooter on the back. If you happen to own this device and want to expand the customization options available to you, simply root it. Root will let you install more apps, called root-only apps and eventually you’ll also be able to flash a custom recovery. Here’s how you can root your T-Mobile G-Slate:BYEditAndroid
I. Before You Begin:1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. You should have latest drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them fromhere.
II. Downloading Required Files:1.Root Package
2.ClockworkMod Recovery
3.Fastboot
III. Rooting the T-Mobile G-Slate:1. Place all three files you’ve downloaded to your Desktop.
2. Extract files fromFastbootas well asClockworkMod Recoveryarchives over to your Desktop.
3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by hding toMenu>>Settings>>Appliions>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Once it’s been enabled, plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Copy theRoot Packagrchive over to the root of your SD card.
6. Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do so, simply hold down theShiftbutton and right-click anywhere on your Desktop and chooseOpen command window here.
7. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window:
adb reboot bootloader
8. Your device should reboot intobootloadermode.
9. Next issue the following command:
fastboot oem unlock
10. It’ll unlock the bootloader of your device.
11. Now issue the following command to reboot into recovery:
fastboot boot recovery.img
12. Your device should reboot intorecoverymode.
13. In the Recovery mode, selectinstall zip from sdcardfollowed bychoose zip from sdcard.
14. Choose theRoot Packagezip to be flashed on your device.
15. It’ll start flashing the file on your device.
16. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
17. And you’re rooted!
Brilliant! Your T-Mobile G-Slate has been successfully rooted and is equipped with the Superuser app to help you manage root permissions.
