How to Root the T-Mobile SpringBoard


T-Mobile SpringBoard a niceAndroid device boasting a 7″ inch screenalong with some other handsome specifiions. Although the device doesn’t support GSM calls, it can be used to make calls over WiFi network. If you just picked this up from T-Mobile and wondering how you could root it, probably to install root-only apps and remove bloatware, then the guide below is all you need. Follow it and get your device rooted:By EditAndroidI. Before You Begin:1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.2. This procedure should work on based PCs only.3. This flashes a custom recovery on your device as well.II. Downloading Required Files:1.ClockworkMod Recovery2.SuperSU3.FastbootIII. Rooting the T-Mobile SpringBoard:1. Place all three files you’ve downloaded to your Desktop.2. Extract files fromFastbootas well asClockworkMod Recoveryarchives over to your Desktop.3. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.4. Copy theSuperSUfile over to the root of your SD card.5. Once the file’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.6. Turn OFF your device.7. Turn it back on by holding downVolume UP+Powerbuttons together.8. Your device should reboot intoFastbootmode.9. Now plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.10. Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do that, simply hold down theShiftbutton and right-click anywhere on your Desktop and chooseOpen command window here.11. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window. Make sure to replecovery.imgwith the actual name of the Recovery you downloaded:fastboot flash recovery recovery.img12. It should flash the recovery on your device.13. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.14. Turn OFF your device.15. Turn it back on by holding downVolume DOWN+Powerbuttons together.16. You should now be in the newly installed recovery mode.17. Selectinstall zip from sdcardfollowed bychoose zip from sdcard.18. Choose theSuperSUzip to be flashed on your device.19. It’ll begin flashing the zip on your device.20. Once it’s been flashed, reboot your device.21. And you’re done!Excellent! You’ve successfully rooted your T-Mobile SpringBoard device and the rest of the work is now yours!
